Nuss Group Honored with 2021 Platinum HIRE Vets Medallion Award
U.S. Department of Labor distinguishes Nuss Truck & Equipment for commitment to military veterans

Rochester, Minnesota — For the third consecutive year, the U.S. Department of Labor has recognized Nuss Truck & Equipment with the HIRE Medallion Award for its commitment to hiring and retaining military veterans. In 2019 and 2020 Nuss received the Gold HIRE Medallion, and this year has been further distinguished as one of just two Minnesota-based companies to receive the 2021 Platinum HIRE Medallion Award.
This federal-level award recognizes employers for their outstanding investment in recruiting, employing, and retaining our nation’s heroes through veteran-specific resources, leadership programming, and tuition assistance programs. It was established as an extension of the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing (HIRE) American Military Veterans Act and was fully implemented in 2019. This year 849 companies were recognized across the United States as either Gold or Platinum HIRE Vets Award winners and Nuss is honored to be among them. “Nuss prides itself in our ability to hire and retain military veterans,” said Talent Acquisition Manager, Josh Rock. “We focus on finding them success in their careers here at Nuss. We owe it to them. They served us, now it’s our turn to serve them and lead their civilian careers that much further.”
Roll Out the R.E.D!
Honoring veterans and military members is an everyday affair at Nuss. This November, Nuss is encouraging everyone to Roll Out the R.E.D. (Remembering Everyone Deployed) in honor of our nation’s deployed servicemen and servicewomen. Employees are invited to wear R.E.D. on Fridays and R.E.D. apparel is available for purchase in the Nuss Parts Department at all Nuss locations where $5 from each sale will be donated to the United Service Organization.
