Volvo Trucks Dealer Nextran Truck Centers Enhances U.S. Footprint with Westfall-O’Dell Acquisition

Volvo Trucks North America announced that established Volvo Trucks dealer Nextran Truck Centers has acquired Westfall-O’Dell Truck Sales. The acquisition is one of the largest by a Volvo Trucks dealer in the past five years.

Established in 1993, Nextran Truck Centers is a full-service commercial truck dealership operating primarily along major highway routes in Alabama, Florida and Georgia. The acquisition of Kansas City-based Westfall-O’Dell will expand Nextran’s national footprint from three states to seven and grow its Volvo Trucks dealer network to 15, including five new locations in Denver, Colorado; Grand Junction, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; Kansas City, Kansas and Cheyenne, Wyoming.

“Both Nextran Truck Centers and Westfall O’Dell have been strongly committed to the Volvo Trucks brand for decades,” said Peter Voorhoeve, president at Volvo Trucks North America. “We welcome this acquisition, which further reinforces Nextran’s above-and-beyond dedication to customer service and support.”

Founded in 1951, Westfall-O’Dell is one of the most respected Volvo Trucks dealer groups in the Midwest. The addition of Westfall-O’Dell is the third acquisition in the last 36 months for Nextran. Nextran now employs over 1,200 team members nationwide. The Nextran team will work to leverage the collective talent and resources from across the entire network of 25 dealer locations to provide best-in-class customer experiences.

“Five years ago, we outlined an ambitious strategic plan that focused on expanding our footprint and facilities, while also investing heavily in our employees, OEM partners and customers,” said Jon W. Pritchett, president and CEO of Nextran Truck Centers. “The acquisition of Westfall-O’Dell demonstrates our steadfast commitment toward that goal, and we look forward to using our extensive knowledge and expertise to help even more Volvo Trucks customers across the U.S.”

Nextran is known for industry-leading expertise in parts, service and sales. It will offer a total of 264 dedicated service bays, plus extensive parts inventory throughout the 15 Volvo Trucks dealer centers.
